Improving the Employee Experience


Due to a significant organisational restructure, the introduction of new business systems and subsequent workforce reductions, the impact on TAFE Queensland Brisbane employees was significant.  In order to create a culturally strong working environment, the organisation needed to gain a much deeper understanding of the key challenges facing employees during their journey with the organisation and identify ways in which they could be resolved.


Incling facilitated a one day Employee Experience Workshop with participants from across the organisation representing various campuses, disciplines and roles. By mapping the employee journey in an open and transparent way, participants were able to share experiences and insights into known employee ‘pain-points’ and how they were affecting participation and organisational performance.


The in-depth exercise resulted in the creation of a set of employee personas and provided deep insight into the actual experience of employees across TQB. The exercise helped uncover the information, services and support employees needed at the various stages of their engagement with the organisation and recommendations from the process are now being implemented across TQB.
